Checking out my recent stats, I see I have some new readers. Hello and welcome! So glad you are here! I know many of you have found me through Rhonda’s Page, and I’m very grateful to her for sharing my blog. Most of the rest of you I think are from Facebook, so welcome Facebook friends and followers!
For those of you that have been around for a bit, you’ve probably noticed some changes. I decided to upgrade the blog to having it’s own domain, so the address is now www.frugallivingandcrafting.net. While I was at it, I redesigned the page layout and changed the imagery. I was tired of the old look and am pretty happy with how it turned out, I hope you all like it as well!
Just a brief note of introduction, to those of you that are new. I’m Cat. I’m 37, married to the love of my life, and mother to two furbabies. One small chihuahua/Yorkie mix named Ginger and one large cat named Beto.
I’m mostly disabled due to a severe anxiety disorder, but I do some writing. Obviously, since I blog! My other hobbies are reading, cleaning, and crafting. Though I haven’t done a lot of crafting as of late. I’m hoping to get back to that soon!
My amazing husband is absolutely my rock. He works night stock at a grocery store, despite having a college degree. Turns out creative writing isn’t especially useful! His job pays very well for what it is, though, so we’re very fortunate.
Our financial situation isn’t stellar, but it could be worse. We do have some consumer debt, but not mountains of it, thankfully. We also have some money in savings, and are rapidly building that up to a more comfortable number before we go gung-ho at paying down our debt. Right now our entire focus is putting every penny we can into the savings account we have with Capital One and building that up enough to cover a couple of months of living expenses as quickly as possible. I estimate we will have 2 months living expenses saved up by Sept 2018.
The biggest problem we have is our weakness for getting food from restaurants. We have spent FAR too much money doing that in the past, and it’s still a struggle to refrain from doing it now. We’re getting much better at depending on what’s in our kitchen to feed us, though, and I’m proud of the progress we’re making!
I think that about covers the basics for anyone new, hopefully without boring my regular readers to tears. Again, welcome to all, old and new. I hope you enjoy my blog. And please feel free to say hi!
